Mark is a 20+ year veteran of the Canadian hi-tech scene. Graduating with a BSc of Electrical Engineering (EE) from Queen's University, Mark joined Intel's Ottawa team in 1983 where he spent 8 years as a Technical Sales Engineer.
Mark joined Avnet in 1991 as the Ottawa branch manager and his 14 year career at the components distributor also included; 1 year at their Los Angeles corporate office; and 12 years as the Canadian country manager (based in Toronto). |
As a believer and practitioner of 'total customer success' , Mark has been an active participant of a Toronto based manufacturing consortium (2 years as Vision Chair). http://www.hpmconsortium.com/ He is an advisor and regular contributor to "Canadian Electronics" (an industry trade publication). http://www.electronicsincanada.com/
Mark is an avid snowboarder and mountainbiker and volunteers as a coach for his children's community basketball teams.
